The 12 Step Carpet Cleaning Process
• Step 1: Pre-Inspection
Our Technician will do a walk through inspection with you to identify your concerns, soiling conditions, carpet construction, and potential permanent stains. At this time we will also measure your floor spaces so we have the correct dimensions for future visits to your home.
• Step 2: Commercial Pre-vacuum
Your carpet pivot points and traffic areas will be thoroughly pre-vacuumed with our special Turbine Vacuum System to remove bonded, insoluble dry soil. Removing dry soil is one of the most important steps in cleaning.
• Step 3: Furniture Moving
Sofas, chairs and tables will be carefully moved and returned to original location and placed on disposable blocks or tabs. Larger pieces, such as beds and dressers are left in place under our regular pricing structure.
• Step 4: Pre-spray
Spots are pre-treated for maximum removal. This will include spotting for coffee, tea, tar, food spots, pet spots, make up, oil, rust, and more. Note: Spots containing man made dye- Example : Kool-Aid,fruit punch; and color repair ( bleached out spots ) are priced according to size of area.
• Step 5: Pre-spot
The carpet is "pre-sprayed" with special cleaning compounds specially designed for your particular carpet and soiling conditions. Traffic areas are pre-treated with a biodegradable traffic lane treatment. This loosens up the solid to make rinsing more effective. Whether your carpet is wool, olefin Berber, nylon, blend, or polyester ( commercial or residential ), our fabric care consultants will be using products designed for YOUR carpet fiber.
• Step 6: Pre-grooming/Agitation
Your pre-sprayed carpet will be pre-groomed with a carpet groomer or rotary cleaning machine (depending on soil level) to further work the pre-spray in for a deeper clean.
• Step 7: Soil Extraction and Rinse
Once the soil has been loosened, our state-of-the-art truck-mounted hot water extraction cleaning process will thoroughly flush the carpet pile. AT WATER TEMPERATURES UP TO 230 DEGREES, this step helps promote deeper cleaning and faster drying times.Pressure and heat are regulated to prevent the carpet from being over wet- depending on thickness and fiber content of carpet.
• Step 8: Neutralizer
The pH is balanced on every carpet and fabric cleaned. This is one of the most important steps according to the manufacturers of carpet. It is accomplished during the extract & rinse process or a post spray will be applied to ensure there is no sticky residue left in your carpet.
• Step 9: Post Spot
If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty spotting techniques are employed. We have written spotting procedures for various spot conditions. Note: Potential permanent stains, as identified by the technician, may not be removed.
• Step 10: Post Groom
The Carpet pile is set in one direction ( using a carpet rake when applicable ) to aid the drying process and for a more visual appeal.
• Step 11: Speed Dry
High velocity air movers are placed on the carpet to accelerate the drying time.
